With the nation’s biggest automobile exhibition at the mere doorstep, India’s very own Mahindra has sent across a little teaser image of the company’s EV line-up for the upcoming automotive show. Mahindra seems to have a great interest in the electric car future.
Starting from the left, we can surely see an aggressively designed orange SUV which looks like the next-gen XUV500 electric which is followed by the XUV300’s electric version. The eKUV is also visible which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2018. Let’s have a look at what we know about these electrics.
Mahindra XUV500 Electric
The carmaker has not disclosed anything related to the electric. Though it can be said that it will be based on the fourth-gen Ssangyong Korando which is also getting an electric version. At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Ssangyong showcased the e-SUV concept. It was equipped with a 187hp electric motor which is powered by a 61.5kWh battery. The claimed range of the EV was more than 350kms.
Mahindra eXUV300
The electric sub-4 metre SUV is expected to launch in the second half of 2020. It will surely be at the biennial show. In design terms, it can be expected to have similar looks as that of the XUV300. For detailed information about the Mahindra’s electric car, click here.
Mahindra eKUV100
This electric has already featured at the 2018 version of the event. It was supposed to launch by the mid of the same year but the launch is still awaited. Let’s hope that it is not just showcased but also launched at the event. This compact car will be the most affordable EV in the market if launched. Mahindra should launch it as soon as possible.
Mahindra Atom
How many of you remember the Bajaj’s Qute? The Mahindra Atom looks similar to it but with an electric powertrain. This quadricycle has been shown at the previous Expo too.
