Mahindra XUV300 Recalled Over Faulty Suspension

Mahindra has recently recalled a batch of XUV300 compact SUV due to its faulty suspension. The Indian carmaker has recalled all the units that were manufactured till May 2019. The company, however, hasn’t revealed the real-time number of the affected units.

Mahindra XUV300 Recalled Over Faulty Suspension

• The Indian automaker said in an official statement that the owners with the affected units of the XUV300 are being contacted personally and the replacement of the affected component is being done free of cost at the nearest dealership.
• This action is being bought into compliance under SIAM’s (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) voluntary code on vehicle recall which came into effect in 2012 and states that all automakers have been recalling all faulty units for repair and maintenance of faulty parts.

• Mahindra and Mahindra stated that “This is in keeping with the company’s customer-centric approach. The inspection and subsequent rectification will be carried out free of cost for all XUV300 customers, who will be individually contacted by the company”
• The sub-compact XUV300 SUV was launched in India after TUV300 and Nuvosports and also features several first in its class features which includes seven airbags and a dual-air conditioning system.

• The Mahindra XUV300 is based is on its cousin, the Ssangyong Tivoli and is manufactured at Mahindra’s Nashik plant. The XUV300 rivals other sub-compact SUV including Ford Ecosport, Tata Nexon and the Vitara Brezza.
