The industry reported 0 sales in the month of April 2020. With the lockdown easing up, the industry is beginning to revive. Maruti Suzuki has already received 5000 bookings post lockdown! No doubt April 2020 was a month that no one from the Indian auto industry would like to remember but things are now getting better as people have started to accept the fact that this virus will be a part of our lives for long.

Maruti Suzuki is taking a variety of measures post lockdown to ensure that the cars are delivered safely to the customers. The touch-free experience remains the prime concern whereas they are also sanitising the showrooms and other premises regularly. Maruti Suzuki just confirmed the booking number. 5,000 people have booked Maruti Suzuki cars for themselves. This is surely a great figure considering the overall situation our country is going through. Maruti Suzuki’s Manesar facility has started operating with limited workforce and has dispatched 2,300 cars till now.

Many other automakers in India have now resumed operations and are now dependent on the online modes of bookings to achieve the sale number.
