Maserati, an Italian car manufacturer, has been an icon of luxury, elegance, sportiness and performance. Keeping the legacy going, Maserati has introduced Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante with petrol engines in India.
The new petrol variants are powered by the Ferrari built 3.0-Ltr twin-turbo V6 petrol engine available in two power options- 345hp and 430hp. These two sedans have been priced at Rs 1.31-1.44 crore and Rs 1.64-1.73 crore respectively. The Maserati Levante SUV lands at a price of Rs 1.42-1.53 crore for the new avatar. Complying with the BS6 emission norms in the country, the petrol engine is fitted up with pneumatic valves in the exhaust system which will ensure the savoir-faire of owning a Maserati. An 8-speed torque converter does the transmission job providing one of the best in class comfort.
Head of operations, Maserati India, Bojan Jankulovski stated, “With the introduction of the V6 petrol versions of Levante, Ghibli and Quattroporte, we follow through, yet again, on our commitment to satisfy the significantly increasing demand for petrol cars in India. Maserati has been the icon for luxury performance cars with its exquisite line-up of beautifully crafted vehicles, and we will continue to fulfil our customers’ penchant for world-class standards.”
Maserati also introduced some minor upgrades made to the diesel variants, the SUV and the sedans get a revamped gear shift lever and a more convenient drive mode selector. The airflow distribution control for the driver and the passenger has also been upgraded. The variants come with upgraded 8.4-inch infotainment system with revamped visual graphics and ergonomics.
The Maseratis come with a sporty flamboyant version named GranSport and an extravagant version named GranLusso. Ghibli comes with an option of 11 exterior colours whereas Quattroporte comes with 10 colour options. The range has been revised with two more tri-coat colours-Rosso Potente and Blu Nobile. The alloy wheels offered are 20 and 21-inches.

Maserati, India had confirmed earlier this year that the manufacturer will bring the V8 version of Levante to India, the Levante Trofeo. Well, that’s for the time to tell. Till then enjoy the luxury at the hands of Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante petrol variants.4
