Mercedes Benz GLE Launched In India; Priced at ₹73.70 Lakhs

Mercedes-Benz launched its long wheelbase(LWB) 2020 GLE SUV in India. This is the first car launched by the brand in India in 2020. The GLE is one of the most sold SUV of Mercedes-Benz in India.

Mercedes-Benz GLE | Engine Specifications

All the variants of the engine powering the new SUV are powerful and also BS6 compliant. Both of the engine options are diesel only and will cut down on fuel efficiency.

Both engines will have Mercedes’ 4MATIC all-wheel drive and 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission.

Mercedes-Benz GLE | Internal/ External Features

Given the price tag and the reputation of GLE as a premium SUV, it is obvious that it will be decked with features like

• Andriod Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
• A MUBX infotainment system.
• Wooden housing for AC Vents.
• Burmester sound system compliments the Mercedes Benz GLE.
• Panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting system.
• Cruise control, AIRMATIC air suspension, active parking system to name a few more internal features
• Twin Eye-brow DRL’s, twin slat grille and LED tail lamps make a comeback.
• The look is also changed to make the car look a bit sleeker and rounded towards the edge making it look more like 2020 GLS.
• One surprising thing about the SUV that it will launch with a hip hop edition featuring hydraulics allowing the car to move up and down on its axis.

• Mercedes Benz GLE comes with 9 Airbags.
• It also has Anti-lock braking system and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution system.
• The SUV also features Electronic Stability Control, front and rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera.

The newly launched SUV will rival Audi Q7 and BMW X5 for a spot in the Indian market.
