MG, a Chinese owned British carmaker introduced one of the first EVs in the Indian automotive market, the ZS EV in early 2020. When the car was launched it gave a subtle introduction of what the future of the automotive sector might hold. With that said, MG announced the first milestone of delivering 1000th ZS EV since the vehicle was made available to the consumers.
Alongside, availability of the new ZS EV has increased to 10 more cities in India. So, this makes it 21 cities across the country where this EV can be delivered. For your reference here is the list of cities that have been added to the existing 11.

With the availability of the MG SZ in these cities, one can book the SUV with a booking amount of ₹50,000/-.
Support from the government and the consumers will soon lead us to an interesting phase wherein the demand for EVs will definitely increase. Later the Chief Commercial Officer narrated, that the country is taking the right steps to enter into a green future where the EVs and green energy infrastructure will be appreciated.
What does the MG ZS EV offer?
First things first, the MG ZS EV comes with a 44.5 kWh battery that drives a motor. Well, the battery is water-resistant and has an IP67 rating. The motor produces a healthy 142 bhp of max power and 353 Nm of peak torque.
Talking about charging,
- The car takes about 15 hrs to charge from 0-100% with a slow 3Kw charger. The charging time significantly decreases with a fast charger.
- A 22kW fast charger can charge the vehicle from 0-100% in just 6.5 hours.
- This takes a drastic turn when it is the rapid charging we are talking. It takes mear 40min to charge from 0-80% with a 50kW charger.

From a fully charged battery, claimed range of the MG ZS EV is about 340 kms. MG ZS EV prices range from ₹20.88Lakhs to ₹23.58Lakhs (Ex-Showroom Delhi)
