Had the Swift offered a full-on mild hybrid system like the Baleno, Ciaz, S-Cross, etc. the hatchback would have been the undisputed king of its segment if you ask us.

   Currently, the Maruti Suzuki Swift Automatic comes with an AMT transmission dubbed as Maruti’s Auto Gear Shift (AGS) onboard, and while it may be good to drive for some, it surely makes us wonder why Maruti didn’t offer a CVT onboard, which the Baleno gets. If somehow the Swift’s 1.2-liter Dual Jet engine gets mated to a CVT, things would have become truly impressive.

   Even though the Swift’s MID is a true classic, seeing that the competition is getting smarter day by day, a fully digital instrument cluster could have been a super cool add-on. With a fully digital MID onboard, the overall package of the Swift can be totally up-to-date and hotter than it already is.
