The Punch is a micro-SUV that Tata Motors has recently launched in India. It too scored a full 5 STAR safety rating. The Punch has gone ahead of all other cars by scoring the highest safety points. The Harrier and the Safari, both are yet to be tested for their safety, but we’re pretty sure they’ll be right up there next to all other Tata cars, if not better. Tata Merlin is a light armoured multi-role vehicle (LAMV) that gets STANAG 4569 Level-1 protection. It can withstand grenades and mines too! The Merlin has a 7.6 mm medium machine gun turret on the roof and a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher. The Merlin uses a 3.3-litre diesel engine that generates roughly 185HP and 450Nm of peak torque.

The GS800 Safari Storme is a special version of the legendary Safari that Tata made for the Indian Army. It is equipped with Tata’s supreme build quality and all the bells and whistles that our soldiers will need to move on those difficult roads. What makes the GS800 extra special is the fact that it makes 70% more power and 200% more torque than the original SUV. Last but not the least, the Mahindra Armada makes it to this list of the most indestructible cars made in India. It was in production from 1993 to 2001. It was one of the most popular people movers of its time. The Armada was also very popular in the semi-urban and rural areas of India. Mahindra’s build quality is enough to bring it to this list. Even today, an old Armada gives the same MACHO feeling that it brought with itself in the 90s.
