    • Hi Eric,

Ford’s 1.5-litre Petrol churns out 122ps of power and around 149Nm of torque while Honda’s 1.5-litre i-VTEC churns 121ps and a peak torque of 145Nm. This is not a huge difference. The major difference lies in the fuel efficiency where Ford’s engine uses 1 litre of fuel to cover 15.9kms while the i-VTEC helps Honda’s 1.5-litre to cover 18.4kms in the same amount. Honda’s i-VTEC is also known to be more refined as it is a 4-cylinder engine while Ford’s 1.5-litre is a 3-cylinder. So, this makes Honda 1.5-litre i-VTEC a better engine overall. Stay pinned!

      • When you make engine powerful, mileage drops. Any engine can be tuned mileage oriented. Ford tunes performance oriented.
Have a test drive 2020 honda city, engine is noisy now.

  1. It’s fascinating how our most powerful domestic cars have less power than some lawn mowers, it really shows us how less competition there is in market that no one’s trying to innovate. It’s sad we don’t have any kind of horsepower wars here, afterall competition breeds innovation. Wish we had proper sports cars in India.

  2. where i can get an engine in india which can get around 700 cc engine with peak output 60+ hp, 6000+rpm, peak torque of 80-90 Nm at 5000+ rpm and around 35 kg weight of engine ?
