MS Dhoni’s And His Diverse Motorcycle Collection

India’s most successful captain with an unbeatable record of being the only captain in cricket history to win all ICC trophies in all formats is Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a.k.a Captain Cool. He has a long list of achievements and lightning-fast reflexes that make him one of the greatest of all time. When he’s not wearing his cricket gloves, we can see him on different sets of leathers that he is also famously known to flaunt on his swanky rides. Let’s take a look at MS Dhoni’s motorcycle collection.

  1. Confederate Hellcat X132

This here, ladies and gentleman, is the Confederate Hellcat X132, and the most important thing about this bike is that only 150 units of this exquisite machine were ever made. This has to be the rarest and most exciting set of wheels in Dhoni’s garage. You would be impressed that other owners include celebrities like Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, David Beckham and Ryan Reynolds. This motorcycle comes with a 2.2L V-Twin that produces 132 hp and a staggering 200 Nm. Dhoni was seen testing the limits of this bike in the Buddh International Circuit too.

  2. Kawasaki Ninja H2

MS Dhoni was regularly seen roaming the streets of Ranchi and even go training on this monster. Yes, this bike is a monster even in the road-legal version, which Dhoni has, because of the supercharged 998cc inline-four engine that spits out 200 hp@11000rpm and a peak torque of 134 Nm@10500rpm. According to reports, Dhoni was the first owner of the Kawasaki Ninja H2 in India.

  3. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R has been a part of Dhoni’s garage for over a decade now and is one of his prized possessions. To describe this bike, it is an intercontinental ballistic missile whose primary purpose is to tour long distances in short amounts of time. To help it do that, it comes with a 1,441cc four-cylinder engine that churns out 200 hp of maximum power. With a capable rider, it can achieve speeds above 300 km/h.

  4. Harley Davidson FatBoy

Yup, this is the same bike that Arnold Schwarzenegger pulled his famous stunt in one of the best movies of all time, “Terminator 2: Judgement Day”. Apart from Kawasaki, Dhoni also loves Harley Davidson and hence owns this timeless beauty. Dhoni holds a previous generation than the one shown in the pic above, and it comes equipped with a 1,690cc air-cooled, V-Twin engine. It puts out a healthy 77.78 bhp @5,250 rpm and 132 Nm@3,250 rpm.

This Italian beauty was on sale for a limited period, and Dhoni managed to grab one before it got sold out. This was one of the iconic motorcycles from Ducati, and it looks drop-dead gorgeous even now. It is powered by a 1098cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine that produces 160 hp. This was the beginning of a whole set of Supersports bikes that made Ducati famous for what they are today.

  6. Yamaha RD350

As you can see in the image above, he is seen taking his daughter Ziva for a short trip. The Yamaha RD 350 was the first bike he bought and still treasures it, and apparently, he has a couple of them. He maintains them in pristine condition, and he also restored his first bike, which was found rusty in his garage after a few years of not being used. This man has a liking to the past and presents equally, and his motorcycle collection is proof enough.

  7. Suzuki Shogun

The Suzuki Shogun was one of his first bikes, and we can’t seem to praise MS Dhoni enough for his motorcycle collection. A few years ago, Dhoni shared an image of the Suzuki Shogun with the caption, “How many of you agree this was 1 of the most exciting 2stroke single cylinder bikes to ride? I need to restore mine quickly.” This shows how much he cares for every motorcycle in his collection, and we would love to see the result of the restoration for sure.

  8. Yamaha Thundercat

One of the most famous sports-tourer during its heydays is the Yamaha YZF600R Thundercat. It was made between 1996 and 2007, and it came equipped with a 600cc engine that produced around 88 hp. Before spending his money on the modern rides, Dhoni had bought this Yamaha, and it was sharing space with his Ninja ZX-14R in his garage.

  9. BSA Goldstar

One of the old-timers in Dhoni’s motorcycle collection is the BSA Goldstar. Talk about nostalgic memories during the golden days of motorcycling in India. This is believed to be one of the first British-made motorcycles to cross the 100 kmph speed limit, and it could do so as a 500cc engine was powering it. In the image above, you can see the Thalaiva on his BSA Goldstar.

  10. Norton Jubilee 250

Another old-timer sharing space with the BSA Goldstar in Dhoni’s motorcycle collection is the Norton Jubilee 250. As the name suggests, it is powered by a 250cc engine and among a couple of other Norton bikes that our captain cool owns.

MS Dhoni sure does have an elegant collection right from vintage motorcycles to modern superbikes and exquisite rare collections. Apart from the ones mentioned in this list, he has other motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Machismo, Harley Davidson Iron 883, and the list goes on. As a true petrolhead, it is not just about owning many motorcycles and let them rot in the garage, NO. He makes sure every one of these motorcycles is maintained in pristine condition, and that is why our respect towards MS Dhoni grew a thousandfold and makes us love him even more.
