New Tata Sedan (City and Ciaz Rival) is under work!

As reported by leading media resources that India very own Tata motors could have been working a new line-up for the domestic market. this new line-up will be based on the company’s all-new ALFA modular platform, which comes compatible with differently styled bodies and engines. According to leading media reports, Tata Motors might already have started working on an all-new sedan which will actively rival the likes of the Honda City and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in the mid-size sedan segment.

The new Tata sedan will be based on the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform which made its debut underpinning the Tata Altroz hatchback and will also feature in the upcoming Tata HBX micro SUV. Additionally, the next-gen Tata Tiago, tiger and the next-gen Tata Nexon are also amongst the ones who will also underpin the ALFA platform.

The new Tata sedan will feature the IMPACT 2.0 Design, which again underpins the new Tata Altroz and the Harrier. Coming to the looks the Tata sedan can be expected to have been inspired by the Altroz and Tata’s E-Vision Sedan concept as it was first showcased at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

As of now, we do not have any specific information about the new tata sedan but rumour has it the CIty and Ciaz rival might support a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine. Both the engine units might also come paired to both a standard 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

Talking about the on-going competition we can expect the new tata sedan to rival the likes of the Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the Honda City sedan. The exact launch dates for the mid-seize sedan remain unknown, but we can expect the new model to break its cover in the early months of 2021.
