Well, if you have been eagerly waiting for Nissan to make its comeback with the Nissan Magnite compact SUV you might just have to wait a little bit longer as according to a recent media report the launch has been further pushed to January 2021. However, previously the compact SUV was scheduled to launch in August 2020.

The reason cited for this delay is the nationwide lockdown due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic which eventually led to Nissan missing out on its manufacturing window at the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant at Oragadam, Tamil Nadu. Additionally, moving into production post-lockdown would have affected the roll-out plan for Renault’s own compact SUV, the Kiger, which has been scheduled to launch by mid-September or early October and it is for sure that none of the companies wants to miss the upcoming festive season which might help them overcome their past losses.
