The PMV EaSe (EaSe pronounced as ‘easy’), which is the cheapest EV in India, starts at 4.5 lakhs. The Mumbai-based startup PMV will target buyers looking for a car for short errands. Currently, one can issue a booking for 2000 rupees (refundable). 1) Design

    Front: The micro car is a 2-seater, perfect for short urban errands. It has a sharp but at the same time smooth, design language, almost perfectly suited for a micro Electric car. It features a slim LED DRL line on the front, on the top of the T-shaped grille.

    Rear: Coming to the rear, it sports a blackened rear glass area. This is almost vertical, standing at 90 degrees. LED DRLs show a similar design to that of the front, as it runs vertically across the rear boot.

    Side: When viewing the side profile, one can notice the small yet handsome design of the 13” alloy wheels. The PMV EaSe has a 4-door configuration, which has 1 seat at the front (driver seat) and one at the rear (passenger seat).

3) Technical Specifications
  • Range: The PMV EaSe promises a range of up to 200 km (for the higher variants), 160 km (for mid variant) and 120 km (lower variant).
  • Battery: Under the small hood of the micro EV, will be present a lithium-ion 15 kW motor, making 20 bhp.
  • Charging: The EaSe can be charged in less than 4 hours using a regular home charger (220 Volts), depending upon temperature.
  • Top Speed: 70 km/h

Moreover, on the safety part, the car will come with disc brakes in front and a drum assembly at the rear. Also, the car will measure 1600mm in height, 2915mm in length, 1157mm in width and have a wheelbase of 2080mm. Rolling on the tarmac, the vehicle will support 145/80 R13 tyres, both in front and back. Being a micro vehicle, the car is expected to be light. PMV claims the weight to be around 575 kg.

The 2 Seater EaS-E is expected to be priced around Rs. 4 to Rs. 5 Lakh (ex-showroom)  for the 160 Kms Range variant.
