Porsche Taycan Scores 5-Stars In Euro NCAP Rating

It seems to be all goodies for the German auto giant Porsche first-ever electric car has managed to get a 5-star rating in the Euro NCAP safety test. However, the Porsche Taycan 4S is not the only electric car to achieve such great heights.

The Tesla Model X was also tested under the same condition and to our surprise (pun intended) secured a 5-star rating but with a higher overall score. Although the Euro Ncap will host another round of tests for this year and for which the results will be declared on the 18th of December 2019.

Coming back to the topic during the test an entry-level model of the Porsche Taycan 4s was tested which came equipped with a performance battery package.

The final results on the Porsche Taycan 4S showed the adult occupancy rating on the of 85% (scoring 32.3 out of 38 points), a child occupancy safety rating was 83% (41 of 49 points), the vulnerable road users rating was 70% (33.8 of 48 points), while it scored 73% (scoring 9.5 of 13 points) in the safety assist system category. 

 

It terms of safety features the Taycan 4S comes fully equipped with a total of eight airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners accompanied with load limiters, speed assist, lane keep assist, and an AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking), especially for people who tend to think that walking on busy roads, is equivalent to taking a nice stroll in the park.

As reported Earlier by GoMechanic the Taycan 4S will make its global debut 2020. however, we are still unsure about the price and the variants this monster menace will procure but rumour has it that it could be priced upwards ₹ 2 crores.
