Second generation Renault Duster which just received a facelift in the Brazilian market released a new Television Commercial showcasing the bold nature of the car. India however, still has the first generation on its streets.
The TVC released is in Portuguese as it’s for the Brazilian audience. It showcases the car in multiple historic events and going toe to toe with the vehicles used in those events.
The new Brazilian model gets a lot of new features over the Renault Duster currently available in the Indian market. It gets a new and fresh interior design, this includes new AC vents and a fresh-looking dashboard. There is also a new instrument cluster which is a combination of two analogues and one intelligent cluster in the middle. There is also a new steering wheel.
Taking about exterior it gets multitude of changes. A revised front grille, new headlights along with some fresh looking tail lights. foglamp housing is also new and there is a pair of auxiliary lights on the front bumper not present earlier giving the car more of an adventurous look. The car dimensions wise is also bigger than the Renault Duster sold in India.
The platform used by the French company in the Brazilian model is 12.5% than the platform used by the Indian variant. The former uses the B0 plus model while the Indian variant uses the B0 platform.
The new Brazil’s Renault Duster uses 2 engines, a 1.6L naturally aspirated inline-4 petrol engine. The other engine is a 1.3L turbocharged engine. Both of these engines are replacing the older 2.0L petrol engine which was available in the pre-facelift model.
All we can hope is that Renault releases the same version in India soon enough although there is not a high probability of it happening.
