Renault HBC, a sub-4 metre compact SUV will be announcing the company’s entry to the segment. Renault HBC has already been spied testing many times on the Indian roads. We can expect the SUV to reach the dealerships by the month of July. Although it also depends upon the ongoing COVID19 epidemic. Here are some details you need to know about the HBC.
Renault HBC | Powertrain
The compact SUV will be sitting on the CMF-A+ platform of Renault Triber. Thus we can expect it to get the 1.0-litre engine from the Triber which produces 71.05hp of power and 96Nm of torque. Mechanically, it will be sharing a lot with the upcoming Nissan Magnite. Renault HBC can get 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine option also. This mill is capable of producing 95hp of power and a peak torque of 150Nm. The engines will be mated to either a 5-speed MT or an AMT.
Features
The upcoming compact SUV will be getting a sunroof, first time in any Renault car. We can expect the upcoming SUV to share its interiors with the Renault Triber. It will also be equipped with automatic climate control, steering-mounted audio controls, touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking camera, projector headlamps and much more. Being so feature-packed, Renault HBC will surely be able to attract a lot of customers.

The HBC will have to compete with a lot of heat in this segment from the best-seller Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, upcoming Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue.
