Renault Triber with AMT Launched! Now Costs Rs. 40,000 More

Renault has introduced its much loved Triber MPV in AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) avatar. The Triber MPV is available in a total of 7 variants with the AMT (Renault calls it Easy-R) option available in 3; RXL Easy-R, RXT Easy-R and RXZ Easy-R. The AMT upgrade will now cost Rs. 40,000 more compared to the manual option. Prices for the Renault Triber AMT starts at ₹6.18 Lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Renault Triber MPV is available in a total of 7 variants with the RXE, RXL, RXT and the RXZ available only with a 5-speed manual transmission. The rest three are Easy-R variants which get a conventional Automated Manual Transmission. The base model priced at 4.9 lakhs doesn’t get an Easy-R AMT option. The Renault Triber AMT and MT are powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated BS6 Compliant petrol engine (BR10) which is good for a rather underpowered 72 PS and 96 Nm of peak torque. The Triber has an ARAI-verified mileage of 20kmpl.

It is to be noted that Renault Indian is working on a 1.0-litre turbocharged version of the Triber MPV which produces an impressive 95 bhp.

Coming to the features, the Triber MPV is not any different than the standard Manual Transmission Triber. The top-of-the-line RXZ variant gets projector headlamps, LED DRLs, electric boot release, 15-inch wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay with phone-based navigation, keyless entry and go and power-adjustable wing mirrors. smart-looking wheels, functional roof rails and more.

A highlight of the Triber AMT is the floor gear-type AMT rather than a Dial-type which is available on the Kwid hatchback.

The Renault Triber is the company’s first sub-4 metre 7-seater and is based on the modified version of the CMF-A platform which also underpins the Renault Kwid. The Triber gets a highly customizable ultra-modular three-row seating which comes with 4 exciting modes and 100+ seating combinations

Additional Safety features on the Triber MPV include – dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, load limiter plus a pre-tensioner (driver only), speed alert warning, seat belt reminder – driver + passenger, rear parking sensor, pedestrian protection and also standard. The top-end model gets 4 airbags. The Renault Triber rivals the Datsun GO+ which gets a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission).
