The History

The history of the Bullet is filled with great triumphs & achievements. The Indian Army relied on a heavyweight and reliable motorcycle for patrolling over their rough and tough borders in Kashmir and Rajasthan; they picked the Bullet. The said qualities and their powerful engine and the tough suspension added together to give the Bullet a perfect fit for the demanding situation. That was the decision that created the lifelong association between the Bullet and India.

As the years passed, the Bullet was no longer just a motorcycle, it was rather a source of pride and passion and a symbol. The fact of the matter is that no one could claim a Bullet without claiming a piece of history.

About The Design

The Bullet 650 retains the iconic appearance that motorcyclists cherish. It consists of:

  • Teardrop-shaped fuel tank with hand-painted golden pinstripes
  • 3D winged Royal Enfield badge on the tank
  • Classic casquette-style headlamp housing with tiger-eye pilot lamps (a design from 1954)
  • Raised handlebars and bench seat for a commanding riding position
  • All-metal construction for durability and a solid feel

The bicycle comes with 19-inch wheels at the front and 18 at the rear, which provides it with an excellent classic weight distribution. The Showa suspension takes care of the bumps in a smooth way, and on the other hand, the LED headlamp provides the needed visibility of today with the style of the past.
