Royal Enfield Himalayan BS6 is finally here. Read this!

Royal Enfield recently announced the launch of the BS6 version of the Himalayan! RE has already started rolling out the BS6 models and starting with the famous  Classic 350. Next up on the list is the brand’s adventure tourer – the Himalayan.

If you are an adventure tourer lover, then this one’s definitely for you. Here’s what you can expect from the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan comes with a 411cc single-cylinder engine. The engine is now BS6 ready. The new adventure tourer is all set to be compliant with the upcoming emission norms in India i.e. the BS6. It is expected that the engine will retain its output figures as well as RE won’t have to re-tune the engine much.

The new Himalayan will have new colour options and the revamped instrument panel will prove to be an addon. The bike will have a switchable ABS system which was missing from the currently existing BS4 compliant Royal Enfield Himalayan. This will surely be a piece of great news for all the Himalayan fans out there!

The wheel size has gone down from the already existing 21 inches to 19 inches in the new version of the bike. This isn’t confirmed yet because the bike was clicked from such an angle when it was spotted testing such that it couldn’t deliver clarity on this. On the other hand, the frame and suspension will be exactly same as on the existing model.

There is no change in the overall appearance of the motorbike. It will continue to exist with the rugged look and the sporty finish. The only downside about the new Himalayan is the price. The price of the new Royal Enfield Himalayan will go up for sure. Currently. The bike is available at a price of Rs. 1.81 lakhs (Ex-Showroom Delhi). No official price reveal has been done as of now.
