Czech carmaker Skoda is back with a new generation of the brand’s only hot hatch, The Skoda Fabia. The Skoda Fabia played a crucial role for Skoda in its initial days in India.
The Fabia has also been part of the brand’s portfolio and has garnered the attention it deserves in the International markets.
The Czech carmaker is all set to unveil the latest gen of the Fabia sometime next month, but before the official unveil, Skoda has released some sketches of the infamous hot-hatch.
However, much recently the Skoda also revealed the interior of the Fabia giving us an overall picture of what the next generation of the hot hatch would look like.

How will it look on the Outside?
- At the first glance, it seems that the Fabia looks quite similar to the 2021 Skoda Octavia from the front.
- It will be based on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB-A0 transverse modular platform.
- It also features Skoda’s signature grille.
- The air dam placed beneath the front bumper is likely to receive a honeycomb treatment.
- The fog lamps are also placed beside the air intake grille.
- The A and C pillars have also received a gentle slope giving it a more coupé look.
- We can expect it to feature a new set of LED head and taillamps.
- The Taillamps are expected to be boomerang-shaped alongside creases giving it a sharper look.
How will it look on the Inside?
- On the inside, we get to see a new dual-tone theme.
- There also sits a dual spoke multi-functional steering wheel identical to the 2021 Skoda Octavia.
- We also notice a massive free-standing infotainment system which is rumoured to be of at least 10-inches.
- The infotainment will be supported by wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
- It also gets a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster
- Beneath the centre console, we have the climate control buttons, USB sockets, a storage tray which could also be a wireless charging pad.
- The door panels and the ac vents will get chrome treatment giving making it look more sophisticated on the inside.
India Launch?
- Let’s be straight, many have questions Zac Hollis about their plans to launch a hatchback in India and the answer they received was a polite ‘NO’.
- This is because as of now the brand is rigorously working upon its SUV line-up for India.
