Skoda Octavia Onyx Launched In India at ₹19.99 Lakh

Skoda India launched its new Skoda Octavia Onyx at an introductory starting price range of ₹19.99 lakh to ₹21.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

• The Skoda Octavia Onyx is powered by the 1.8 TSI petrol engine and 2.0 TDI diesel engine from the regular Octavia range.
• The petrol variant churns out 178bhp and 250nm of torque. The turbocharged 2.0 TDI diesel makes 141bhp and 320nm torque.
• Both the petrol and the diesel engine comes equipped with Volkswagen’s propriety Dual-clutch DSG automatic gearbox. The 1.8 TSI uses a 7-speed DSG whereas the 2.0 TDI uses a 6-speed DSG.
• The 1.8 TSI petrol delivers a fuel economy of 15.1 km/l. The 2.0 TDI diesel returns an average of 19.5 km/l. Both ARAI certified.
• The Skoda Octavia Onyx comes in three paint schemes; Candy White, Race Blue and Corrida Red.
• On the face, the Octavia Onyx is the same as the regular Octavia but with the all-black design elements like black ORVMs, carbon back door foils and Glossy black 16 inch Premia alloy wheels.
• The Onyx also gets LED headlamps and taillamps with C-shaped illumination which is typical in the Skoda model range, complementing the gloss black spoiler.
• The interior gets premium black leather upholstery and decor complemented by chrome lights and a 3 spoke sporty flat-bottom multifunctional steering wheel with flappy paddle shifters.
• In terms of features, the Octavia Onyx get all the bells and whistles like; automatic dual-zone climate control, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartLink technology, electric seats and more.
• In terms of safety, the Skoda Octavia Onyx sports 6 airbags (as standard), ABS with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Mechanical Brake Assist, Multi Collision Brake, Hydraulic Brake Assist, Anti Slip Regulation, Electronic Differential Lock and led headlamps with Adaptive Front Lighting System.
