There are three engine options on offer right now:

    1.2L natural aspirated petrol making 85hp & 113Nm torque
    1.2L turbo petrol making 109hp & 140Nm torque
    1.5L diesel making 89hp & 200Nm torque

The automatic version has been in development for some time now, and recently an Altroz test mule was also spied. The fully camouflaged car had no changes to the exterior, so our guess is it is the long-awaited DCT transmission being tested.

The turbo petrol engine would be mated to a 7-speed DCT transmission while the other naturally aspirated engine could be coupled to a 6-speed AT. These automatic versions are expected to launch in the first half of 2022.

Currently, the Altroz is priced between ₹5.89-9.64 lakhs (ex-showroom). The automatic variants could cost ₹75,000-1 lakh more than the manual transmission.
