“Mission report December 30, 1998: You will never have to suffer a small car again.” In the world of cramped hatchbacks with standard design philosophy, Tata Motors launched Indica, which was the first fully indigenous passenger car in India. Tata Indica is a name we all are familiar with for sure. If not, take a look here. Today, we are going to take a look at one of the versions of the Indica, the Indica V2, or as the company called it, the Indica e-XETA.

It was built to last, like any other Tata cars. The crumple zones were strategically placed and the side intrusion beams made sure that the Indica is ready for any impact from the side. It came with features like child safety lock on rear doors, high mounted stop lamps, front and rear fog lamps, collapsible steering column and 3-point seatbelts for front seats and rear side passengers.

While the other carmakers were offering the pale colour options, Tata decided to add vibrance to the options. It was offered in 4 colours: Mint White, Apple Green, Arctic Silver and Neo Orange.

How spacious of a car are we talking about?

Tata Indica EV2 XETA | Dimensions

Length (mm) 3,690
Width (mm) 1,665
Height (mm) 1,485
Wheelbase (mm) 2,400
Ground Clearance (mm) 165
Boot Space (litres) 220

So, from the dimensions, it’s clear that the XETA had enough legroom, headroom as well as the shoulder room. And to make sure that you don’t have to leave anything behind while embarking on a journey, it offered a good boot space too.

So this is all for the Tata Indica e-XETA. Want to know about some other car or is there a rare car you would like to share? Do let us know in the comments section below.
