Tata Harrier BS6 Power And Variants Information Revealed

In a new teaser, Tata confirmed that a more powerful Harrier will be coming with the BS6 engine. Along with more power and a BS6 compliant engine, it is expected to cost more.

The engine for Tata Harrier will be 2.0 Litre Kryotec and will output 170bhp and 350Nm torque which is 30 more horsepower from the BS4 version. This engine will also power the 7-seater Tata Gravitas.

Tata Harrier will have a 6-speed automatic transmission option sourced from Hyundai and this will be an addition to its automatic BS6 lineups. Tata confirmed that automatic transmission will come in three different Diesel variants. The mid-level XMA, XZA and the high-end XZA+ will feature a diesel automatic.

The top variant of Tata Harrier, XZA+ will have a panoramic sunroof and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Externally the Harrier will have a new red exterior shade and dual-tone alloy wheels. Internally connected car technology is expected to be present to make it more lucrative against cars like Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks and Kia Seltos.

Along with the Harrier, Tata is also expected to showcase the 7-seater sibling Tata Gravitas and Tata H2X (also named Hornbill) at Auto Expo 2020.

Just like Harrier, Tata Gravitas will also receive changes in its drivetrain including an Automatic option, independent rear suspension system, more powerful engine, a new rear design and will cost more because of being decked with a lineup of features.

Gravitas will rival MG Hector and Toyota Fortuner.

Tata has also revealed the micro SUV H2X which some information was already available from its concept more is now known about the car. it will have a 1.2-litre Revtron petrol engine which will be BS6 compliant with 85bhp and 114 Nm torque.

H2X will rival Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Mahindra KUV 100 and Maruti Suzuki S-presso.
