Tata showcased the HBX at the Auto Expo 2020. Tata showcased a lot of new vehicles which they have planned for the Indian market in the upcoming future. HBX was among them. We saw that the Tata HBX was almost production-ready at the Expo itself. Now, we have spotted it testing multiple times. This time, we spotted a test mule which made us make out some of the key details about the Tata HBX. Let’s begin with what we saw!
As of now, the homegrown automaker is planning to launch the HBX in India in the financial year 2021. We see that many automakers have already postponed the new launches due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The existing stock lies unsold so the automakers are planning something for the already existing stock first! So this micro SUV from Tata Motors will compete with the Mahindra KUV100 and the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso once launched!
The new test mule of the Tata HBX that was spotted gave us a glimpse of the tail light. The taillight design is exactly the same as what we saw at the Auto Expo. Other details that we were able to notice on the test mule were the adjustable headrests for the rear passengers. Also, the rear bumper gets the space for mounting the number plate and the stop lamp is high mounted just like we saw at the Auto Expo.
Tata Motors has completely changed its public image in the passenger vehicle segment. The launch of cars like the Tiago, Nexon, Harrier and more have made the audience love and appreciate the brand, therefore, giving it a huge sale fraction. We expect the HBX to do well in its segment too! Maruti Suzuki S-Presso currently leads the segment. Let’s see what the future brings!
