Tata Motors has once again emerged with flying colours in terms of sales. It once again, clung onto its spot to finish 3rd overall amongst carmakers in the month of March.

Passenger Vehicles Sales
- Tata Motors recorded 42,293 PV units in March 2022: A Month On Month growth rate of 5.79%, and a year on year growth rate of 42.62%
- Tata Motors registered 38,936 units for IC Engine Cars in March 2022, which is a 34% rise from 28,949 units sold in March 2021.
- It recorded highest monthly sales of SUVs, at 29,559 units
Annual + Q4 Sales
- In FY 2022, Tata Motors sold 3,70,372 passenger vehicles, up from 2,22,025 PVs sold in FY21, resulting 67% YoY growth.
- Tata Motors sold 2,33,078 units in Quarter 4 of 2021-22. This was a 28% increase from 1,82,477 units in Quarter 4 of 2020-21.
Tata Motors Sales: EV Division
- Tata Motors sales also saw the highest monthly sales for EVs as it sold 3,357 units – a staggering 376% jump from March 2021, where they only managed to sell 705 units!
- It reported 19,106 units in FY 2021-22, up by 353% as compared to 2020-21.
Commercial Vehicle Sales: Tata Motors
- Tata witnessed sales of 47,050 units in CV segment in March 2022 a YoY increase of 16%
- Light commercial vehicle sales stood at 7,555 units: a YoY increase of 11%
- Passenger Carrier Sales had the highest YoY growth of 44%, from 1880 units sold in March 2021, to 2703 units sold in March 2022.
- Medium and Heavy Commercial Sales were at 14,499 units, a 33% YoY increase from 10,883 units.
- Commercial Vehicle Exports sank 28%, YoY.
