Tata Motors 2020: 4 New Car Launches

Desi car maker; Tata Motors is planning to unveil 4 new cars next year in 2020. These cars will be revealed specifically for the domestic Indian car market. The cars will be launched back to back over a period of 7-9 months. From the futuristic H2X to the revolutionary Nexon EV, it’s all coming!

  1. Tata H2X Mini SUV

    Scheduled to make its global debut at the 2020 Auto Expo Delhi, the H2X is Tata’s answer to the competitors in the compact SUV market in India. Powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine mated to a manual and AMT gearbox, it will be Tata’s second model to be based on the ALFA platform after the Tata Altroz. The H2X will be pitched against the 2019 Renault Kwid Facelift, Mahindra KUV100 NXT and the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso.

  2. Tata Buzzard 7-Seater

    The Tata Buzzard is basically a 7-seater version of the Tata Harrier. The Buzzard is 63mm longer than the Harrier. Powered by a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine, the Buzzard produces 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The Buzzard will compete against the likes of the Mahindra XUV 500 and the MG Hector.

  3. Tata Altroz

    The Altroz will be Tata’s premium hatchback in India. The expected launch date for the Altroz is tentatively January 2020. The Altroz is the first car in Tata’s line-up to be based on the ALFA platform. The Tata Altroz will compete against Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 and the Honda Jazz.

  4. Tata Nexon EV

    The last in line will be the Tata Nexon EV; Tata’s first proper fully electric car. The Nexon EV will use Tata’s in-house Ziptron high-voltage powertrain which used liquid-cooled lithium-ion cells. The Nexon EV claims a range of 300kms.
