Tata Nexon EV is all set to be launched in India on 17th December 2019. Tata has got huge plans for the Indian market and aims to launch a lot of vehicles in the coming year. This is the kickstart to that lineup. Tata is working on the Altroz, Buzzard and many more projects they will be introducing soon in India. The Nexon EV was also in the list but realising the growing demand for EVs in India, Tata has finally decided to showcase the Nexon EV on 17th December 2019.

Tata Nexon EV | Pricing
We can expect the Nexon EV to be priced between 15-17 lacs. This means that Tata has already gained an edge over the Hyundai’s Kona EV which is priced way higher! We are yet to see what MG has decided for its ZS EV in terms of price. The already existing Nexon has a price starting at 6.5lacs ex-showroom. So if we compare the Nexon EV’s price to the already existing version, that’s quite high!
Tata Nexon EV | Overview
From what we have seen so far, sports the design cues similar to the already existing Nexon with the IC engine.Moreover, it could inherit the grille from the Harrier with new-shape DRLs and revised projector headlamps. Tata has not completely revealed the interiors till yet as well. We have still seen a partially digital instrument cluster and the steering wheel similar to the Altroz.We can expect features like cruise control, automatic headlamps and a multi-colour info display to be a part of the all-new Nexon EV.
Tata Nexon EV | Under The Hood
The Nexon will be the first EV to feature the Ziptron powertrain. It has a permanent magnet powered AC motor and a waterproof battery pack.No official statement has been released in terms of the range but we can expect a range of 300kms considering the competition.

Along with the EV, Tata Motors is also working on the charging infrastructure. Tata currently has 85 chargers across 13 cities and plans to launch 300 chargers across the 5 major metro cities in India. Electric is definitely the future but let’s see who wins the race!
