  1. This is such a biased and incorrect article. Unfortunately people won’t read the comments. For starters everyone knows AMT is inferior to a torque converter. Also, Brezza is also equipped with hill hold.
These are just two of the glaring mistakes I noticed at a glance, which makes me wonder there may be more mistakes.
I wonder how gomechanic can pass this quality of content as any form of journalism, even the tonality is biased from the beginning. I rarely ever write comments but this was too much.
Either Tata has paid the author to write such an article, or the author is clearly not an “Automobile enthusiast”.
    Sorry for the harsh words.

    • Hi Danny,
First things first, this article is not at all sponsored by Tata Motors. You can trust us on this.

It is an in-depth comparison between the two sub-compact SUVs in the market. And in comparison, one will always emerge as a winner, in this case, Tata Nexon. It has better overall performance, safety as well as comfort when compared to the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.

Now coming to the factual errors you have mentioned, I have clearly mentioned in the article that the safety features mentioned are for the BASE variants. Hill hold control is offered in the Brezza but in higher variants. The base variant of Brezza is not equipped with this feature. I have compared the safety features of both the cars in the base variants as not everyone will go for higher variants while buying a car. Tata Nexon offers all the mentioned safety features right from the base variant.

I hope that I am able to clarify the facts that you have mentioned. Thank you for staying an avid reader:)

  2. Thank you, I rather appreciate the reply. I believe it was a mistake on my part to not notice that the base variants were being considered for safety.
There were 2 more things that seemed a little strange :
    – Nexon having a better manual transmission, but how is it better (gear ratios, clutch actuation force, smoothness of gearshifts) considering that a lot of reviews praise the transmission in the Brezza (most Maruti Suzuki cars)?
    – Automatic Climate Control is available in the Brezza as well.
    – “Nexon is a better performing car”, how? Sure, a 3 cylinder engine with a turbo (to compensate for the lack of 1 cylinder) may produce more bhp on paper, but do people really push their cars to the high RPMs at which the peak torque is achieved? Low end torque is what matters more in regular city driving. It may be wishful thinking on my part to expect companies to share a torque curve as well, but I guess that’s not happening soon.

I don’t intend to act like an “internet troll” and leave nasty comments anonymously, but to be honest, it is my honest feedback to use tonality that is more objective. Right now the article “sounds” rather biased (even if all the facts are right) and may boil down to the choice of words. I do like the blog and would like to continue enjoying more “balanced” articles. Just my two cents. All the very best to you!

    • Hi Danny,

The article is not at all biased. All the facts mentioned in the blog are correct. We have mentioned that Nexon is a better performing car on the basis of experiences of owners and our reviews. Talking about the torque delivery, from the information that has been shared by both the companies, it is clearly visible that Tata Nexon has a better torque delivery when compared to Maruti Suzuki Brezza, even at lower RPMs. We will surely compare the two cars in real driving situations soon. Stay tuned!

  3. Danb is correct .. either you are biased or only relying on figures provided by companies.

Practically i found Nexon having less stability compared to brezza in my regularly used routes. Also i found that brezza feels bigger and comfortable inside compared to Nexon . NVH levels are very less in brezza.

Moreover you are not at all open to criticism of your loved Nexon
