After the reports for the sales of electric cars in India came it became obvious as to which EV people love. Tata Tigor EV came first leaving the second car 106 units behind it. These numbers might be in danger of falling as more companies are brining alternative options in electric cars.

- Tata Tigor EV has a 105Nm torque and 40.23bhp output.
- It can reach a top speed of 80km/h.
- Tata Tigor EV employs the use of a 72V 3-Phase AC Induction motor.
- It has an ARAI certified range of 213 km in the new long-range version while the older one had a meagre range of 142km.
- It can charge 80% in 90 mins with a fast charger.
- Tata Tigor EV is powered by a 21.5KW battery.

Tata Tigor EV | Interior/Exterior
Tigor being EV being a cheaper option doesn’t come with a lot of features both internally and externally.
- It features adjustable headlights, power-adjustable rearview mirrors.
- Chrome grille which is common for cars in this price range nonetheless gives it a good look.
- It has 14” tires which are radial and tubless, nothing new.
Tata Tigor EV | Safety Features
Unlike Nexon and Altroz, the two Indian cars scoring 5 stars in Global NCAP this EV lags behind in safety features.
- It features an Anti Lock Braking System which prevents the car from losing steering control when hard braking.
- It has only two Airbags in the front providing no safety for the passengers behind.
- Crash sensors allow for a fast response during an accident to tighten the seatbelt and airbag deployment.
Tata Tigor is currently available in three variants XT, XE and XM with plus options on al three giving extra features. The top variant is on sale for 11.09 lakhs INR.
