Just after 4-days after its launch, Tesla’s Cybertruck, with its almost weird and polarising design the Tesla Cybertruck has drawn mixed reactions but has still managed to make over 2,00,000 bookings in a matter of 4 days.
Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk confirmed in a tweet on November 25th which said “146k Tesla Cybertruck orders so far, with 42% choosing dual, 41% tri & 17% single motor. With no advertising & no paid endorsement.” In another tweet on November 25, Musk confirmed that the number had increased to 2,00,000, by simply saying “200k”

Tesla Cybertruck will be sold in three variants; the first one will be a single motor rear-wheel drive and is able to complete the 0-60 mph (96.5 km/h) run in under 6.5 seconds. Tesla also claims that the single motor variant offers a driving range of 250 miles (402 km) on a single charge and is priced at $39,900, which around Rs 28.65 Lakhs.
Next up on the Tesla Cybertruck variant list is the dual-motor all-wheel-drive model, which goes from zero to 60 mph (96.5 km/h) in less than 4.5 seconds and will deliver a driving range of 300 miles (483 km) per charge and will come with a price tag of $49,900 (Around Rs 35.83 Lakhs).
The top-end model of the Tesla Cybertruck will be a triple motor all-wheel drive, which can do from 0 to 60 mph (96.5 km/h) in just 2.9 seconds, and is claimed to deliver a driving range of 500 miles (805 km) per charge. Moreover, The top-model will come at a fixed price of $69,900 (Around Rs 50.20 Lakhs).

Although this sudden craze for the Tesla Cybertruck has fetched a lot of bookings. However. It will be fun to see whether it can come close to the company’s Model 3 which fetched a staggering 2,76,000 deposits were put down in the first 72 hours of the order books being opened, with 1,17,000 of those pre-orders placed before the car was even unveiled! Within the first week of its launch, the booking count for the Tesla Model 3 climbed to 3,25,000.
