Top 10 Best Selling Cars of July’24

Usually, the Maruti stands on top of best-selling cars with its all-time favorites Swift and Wagon R, but in July’24, Hyundai took its place, selling more than 17,000 units of Creta in a single month. It is an all-time high for Hyundai to sell these many units of a single vehicle. The all-new Swift came in second place, with 16,854 sold units followed by Wagon R, Tata Punch, Maruti Ertiga, and more. Let’s see the top 10 best-selling cars of last month in India.

• Hyundai Creta

Creta has been a front-runner in Hyundai’s lineup since its launch in 2015. It is a mid-sized SUV with a 1.5 L turbo GDI/MPI Petrol and a 1.5 L CRDi diesel engine. Alongside its powerful performance, it is feature-rich which makes it a highly deemed SUV in Indian market. Last month in July, 17,350 units of Creta were sold by Hyundai.

• Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti sold over 200,000 units of Swift last year, making it the best-selling car of 2023. This premium hatchback has a 1.2 L Z-series engine and starts at 6.4 lakhs which makes it an affordable and reliable option for many budget hatchback buyers. Maruti sold 16,854 units of Swift last month alone.

• Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

One out of four families in India has this car. Maruti Wagon R, the best-selling car of the year 2022, ensures its place in the top 10 every year. Starting from 5.5 lakhs, 16,191 units of Wagon R was sold last month.

• Tata Punch

Tata had to be in the top 5. Punch, a compact SUV with a 1.2 L Revotron engine marked its position as the 4th best-selling car of July’24. Tata sold 16,121 units of Punch last month alone.

• Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

Ertiga is prominently used as a commercial vehicle(Cabs, Taxis, Vans). Maruti sold 15,701 units of Ertiga last month.

• Maruti Suzuki Brezza

Suzuki Brezza is a popular compact SUV on Indian roads. It features a K15C bi-fuel engine (Petrol/CNG), and multiple features. Last month, 14,676 units of Brezza were sold by Maruti Suzuki.

• Tata Nexon

Another Tata’s car that sold 13,902 units in a single month of July. Nexon is a mid-sized SUV, equipped with 1.2 L petrol and 1.5 L diesel engines. An upcoming CNG variant for Nexon will launch soon, perhaps that would increase its sales more.

• Mahindra Scorpio

The best-selling car of Mahindra, the Mahindra Scorpio is a mid-sized SUV, featuring a 2 L petrol and 2.2 L diesel engine. Mahindra sold 12,237 units of Scorpio last month alone.

• Maruti Suzuki Eeco

Maruti Eeco in the top 10 best-selling cars? Sounds surprising right? Eeco has been in this top 10 list for a long time. Last month, Maruti sold 11,916 units.

• Maruti Suzuki Dzire

Dzire is bought for both commercial and personal use. It is a compact sedan, equipped with a 1.2 L petrol engine. Maruti sold 11,647 units of Dzire in the month of July.
