Maruti Suzuki Alto

The first candidate among the top 10 selling cars is the Maruti Suzuki Alto. The manufacturer launched the Alto 2022 in the Indian market this year, and it has increased sales all the way. They reported a 104% YoY growth, with 24,844 units sold last month compared to 12,143 units last year.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR
The second car is also a hatchback from Maruti Suzuki. They hold a significant part of the market, and this tall boy has been performing well throughout the years. For WagonR, they reported 163% YoY growth, with 20,078 units sold last month as compared to only 7,632 units last year.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno
Baleno has been among the top-selling cars overall, and it has been ruling in the premium hatchback segment too. After the update this year, Maruti is also working on a Baleno-based compact SUV. They reported 139% YoY growth with 19,369 units sold this September compared to only 8077 units last year.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

Brezza was among the top-selling cars in its segment, and it’s getting back on track with the updated generation this year. This long-awaited update has been fruitful for the vehicle as it accounted for a tremendous 724% YoY growth, with 15,445 units sold last month compared to a handful of 1874 units last September.

Tata Nexon

Nexon and Venue had been competing closely until the updated Brezza arrived. This is one of Tata’s best offerings, with various variants to choose from, be it powertrains or cosmetic upgrades. Tata reported 76% YoY growth, with 14,518 units sold last month compared to 8211 units last September.

Creta has been ruling the mid-size SUV segment for a while. It made its way to the top 10 selling cars, with Hyundai accounting for 57% YoY growth. They sold 12,866 units last month compared to 8,193 units last September.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco

The only van that makes it to the top 10 selling cars is the Maruti Suzuki Eeco. We mostly see it being used as a commercial vehicle for ferrying passengers. Maruti Suzuki recorded a 61% YoY with 12,697 units sold last month compared to 7844 units last year.

This micro SUV was also among the good launches from Tata. It is relatively new in the market, and before completing a year, it has already made its place among the top 10 selling cars. Tata sold 12,451 units of this car last month.

The last Maruti Suzuki candidate among the top 10 selling cars is the Swift. It has always been taken as a youthful sporty hatchback. The company reported 375% YoY growth, with 11,988 units sold last month compared to only 2520 units last year.

The last SUV on the top 10 selling cars list is the Hyundai Venue. It is also a promising offering, and Hyundai also launched the performance variant, Venue N-Line, into the market. They reported a 39%YoY growth with 11,033 units sold last month compared to 7924 units sold last year.
