Top 25 Best-Selling Cars in India | September 2021

Car Sales Report is the only thing all the enthusiasts await whenever a new month begins. Now that we are in October 2021, we have already told you about the top 10 selling cars in the last month. In today’s featured, we are going to talk about the top 25 selling cars in the month of September 2021.

As we have already told you each and every detail about the top 10 selling cars, we would not want you to go through the same again. For those, who haven’t read the previous edition, we will definitely announce the rankings once again. Leading the pack is still the entry-level hatch by Maruti Suzuki. Alto formed the top-selling car for the month of September 2021.

Following Alto, was Ertiga with a sale of 11,308 units which made it get the second rank. At third place was the Kia Seltos which is definitely a new name in the top 5. Tata Nexon, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Eeco, Maruti WagonR and the Tata Altroz formed the ranks following Seltos. Moving on to what’s new in today’s featured we have the rankings from 11 till 25.

  • Hyundai i20 (5,153 Units)

    With the launch of the N-Line, the sales have gone further up. Hyundai i20 ended up at the 11th rank among the top-selling cars for the month of September 2021. The Korean premium hatch sold 5,153 units with a YoY drop of almost 48%.

  • Tata Tiago (5,121 Units)

    Tata’s entry-level hatch is at the 12th rank for the month of September 2021. This car recorded a sale of 5,121 units with a YoY drop of 16%. we hope Tiago comes back with a strategy to boost the sales soon.

  • Toyota Innova Crysta (4,734 Units)

    The MPV king is at the 13th rank for the month of September 2021 with a sale of 4,734 units and YoY growth of 16%. Let’s move on to the 14th rank.

  • Kia Sonet (4,454 Units)

    A premium Ertiga or an Ertiga on steroids, whatever you may call it, XL6, according to us delivers excellent value for money. This MPV ended up September 2021 with a sale of 3,748 units with a YoY growth of almost 80%!

  • Mahindra XUV300 (3,693 Units)

    In the 17th place, we have the Mahindra XUV300 with a sale of 3,693 Units in the month of September 2021. This said the XUV300 has showcased almost no YoY change as this is just 7 units lesser than what it sold in the same month last year. We guess Mahindra is safe in terms of sales too.

  • Honda City (3,348 Units)

    The 2021 Honda City is also doing great in the sedan market of India. With a sale of 3,348 units in the last month, City ended up at the 18th rank with a YoY growth of 24%.

  • Mahindra Thar (3,134 Units)

    The 2020 Mahindra Thar is another successful car that India’s own SUV maker has launched in the last year. This time, Thar has ended the month with a sale of 3,134 units.

  • Hyundai Aura (2,862 Units)

    Entering the 20th rank, we have. the Hyundai Aura with a sale of 2,862 units and a YoY drop of almost 26%. The drop is possible because of the growing competition in the Indian market and the increasing options for the consumer count in too.

  • Tata Harrier (2,821 Units)

    Despite the tough competition in the segment, Tata Harrier has been able to generate a decent sale number of 2,821 Units with a YoY growth of almost 61%. Harrier is actually a good car and seeing the sale number and the competition, we can definitely say this SUV has not lost the spark yet!

  • Maruti S-Presso (2,793 Units)

    Maruti’s micro-SUV is at the 22nd rank for the month of September 2021 with a sale of 2,793 units. This car has reported a YoY drop of over 69%. We guess people are now finally realising that this car has got a zero-star safety rating which is why they are steering away from the Spresso.

    Towards the end of the best selling cars list, we have the MG Hector with a sale number of 2,722 units and YoY growth of 13%. Hector is doing decent in terms of sales. We expect MG to bring in some updates just like they are bringing in with their new cars like the Astor.

    On the 24th rank is the Renault Kwid with a sale of 2,722 units. This hatchback is the most futuristic hatchback if we talk about looks in the market as of now. Renault Kwid is equally good in terms of features too. A YoY drop of 40% surprises us too! What do you think can be the reason?
