In fact, the increased need for mobility is now motivating OEMs to enter the used car market as well. And Toyota has become the latest OEM to do so with the Toyota Used Car Outlet. TUCO by Toyota
Toyota Kirloskar Motor became the first automobile manufacturer to offer full OEM refurbished vehicles to consumers, with the unveiling of its first used car service dubbed the Toyota Used Car Outlet (TUCO). As of now, the TUCO showroom will be limited only to Bengaluru as a pilot project and will offer all Toyota models in OEM refurbished avatars.
To maintain the highest standards of quality, each car before being listed for retail will be subjected to an intensive 203-point inspection based on Toyota’s global quality standards. Toyota Used Car Outlet showroom will also be a one-stop destination for value-added services like Insurance, Accessories, and Finance. Consumers can also walk in to sell off their old car with complete trust and transparency by Toyota.
As per senior officials from Toyota, TUCO showrooms will be digitally integrated and will provide consumers with transparent vehicle history evaluation and authenticity. Consumers can also evaluate vehicle history etc. at the official ‘U Trust’ website.
To provide an overall enriching car purchase experience, TUCO will also offer personalized RTO Assistance to potential customers. Speaking on the launch of TUCO, Mr. Vikram Kirloskar, the Vice Chairman of TKM said, “India’s used car market continues to grow rapidly every year and TUCO represents our commitment to developing a fair and transparent used car market with increased reliability for our customers and to the Indian society as a whole. Our focus will be to offer our customers the best quality, refurbished cars with convenience, transparency, and value for money. We are committed to creating a reliable and transparent used car market which will enable faster disposal of cars at the right prices and right quality to the buyers.”
