TVS Creon Electric Scooter was revealed as a concept in the last auto expo. We saw the electric concept scooter in the auto expo 2018 but the automaker was working on it since 2017. Finally after 3 years of R&D, and manufacturing processes, we have spotted the first few units of the scooter. These scooters were out for a test ride just outside their manufacturing facility at Hosur.
TVS also announced their partnership with Intel for the development of its electric and hybrid products. TVS CEO, K N Radhakrishnan, had already confirmed in June last year that the TVS Creon Electric Scooter will be unveiled in production-ready avatar before April 1, 2020.
From the spy shots we have seen, we can easily make out that the TVS Creon Electric Scooter gets a sharp styling. There will be a stepped apron as showcased in the concept back in 2018.
Front disc brake, spacious floorboard and a telescopic suspension add up to make the feature lineup competitive.
From the rear, we see that the TVS Creon Electric Scooter has got a hub-mounted motor. The same old TVS badging is there as we have on the Jupiter. Talking about the motor’s power, the concept showcased a 12kV motor but we are not sure if the same motor will power the production model. Three Lithium-ion were spotted at the helm
The second most important concern is the range. TVS Creon Electric Scooter comes with a range of 80km on a single charge. The scooter can hit the 60kmph mark in just 5.1 seconds! The speedometer and the tachometer will be on a TFT screen which will display the battery percentage and the range as well.
By now you must be assuming that we will find this scooter there at the upcoming auto expo. FYI, TVS is not participating in the auto expo 2020. TVS plans to launch the Creon Electric Scooter really soon but unfortunately not at the Auto Expo.
