The first on the upcoming 7 seater SUV is from our very own home-grown carmaker Tata who has already confirmed that they will surely roll out the Gravitas SUV before the beginning of 2020 festive season and it will be offered in a 6 and 7-seats configurations and will actively rival the likes of the MG Hector Plus.
This upcoming 7-seater SUVs will be based on the company’s newly designed OMEGA ARC platform and will also share its powertrain with the Tata Harrier. Under its hood, the Gravitas will support a 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine compliant to the BS6 emission norms capable of producing 170hp with 350Nm of peak torque.

MG Hector Plus
Expected Launch- June 2020
Next up on the upcoming 7 seater SUVs list is the Mg Hector Plus which is the company’s first three-row SUV offering the MG Hector plus which was initially taunted as the six-seater SUV. rumour also has it that the Hector Plus will also be available in a seven-seat variant as well.
Under the hood, the MG hector plus will support the same BS6 compliant 1.5-litre petrol and turbo-petrol engine along with a 48V mild-hybrid system and a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine unit. all three engines will come mated to a 6-speed manual but to our surprise, the petrol models will receive an option of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Hyundai Creta (7-Seater)
Expected Launch- Early 2021
Next up we have the Hyundai Creta 7-seater, after the immense success of the 5 seater Creta Hyundai seems to be planning something big as not too long ago spy shots of the 7-seater variant of the Creta SUV was spotted testing in broad daylight.
This upcoming 7-seater SUV will actively rival the likes of the upcoming MG Hector Plus and the Tata Gravitas. The new 7-seater premium SUV is likely to have a higher ground clearance and will be 30mm longer and will sit on a 20mm longer wheelbase if compared to the regular 5-seater variant. Additionally, it will also feature 1.0Lturbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel unit while underpinning the same transmission from its 5 seater cousin.

MG Gloster
Expected Launch- November 2020
This upcoming 7-seater SUVs was earlier being anticipated to enter India by early 2021, but then MG surprised everyone with showcasing this beast of a car at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020.
The MG Gloster is set to compete against the bid daddies including the Toyota Innova, Ford Endeavour and the Mahindra Alturas G4. The Gloster will come powered to a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel unit pushing the power output to 218hp with a peak torque of 480Nm.
