After the immense success of the Seltos compact SUV, Kia has decided to try its luck under the sub-4 meter SUV with the Kia Sonet.

    This upcoming cars under Rs 5 lakh- 10 lakh contender will come equipped with 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged producing 118hp with 180Nm of peak torque mated to a 6-speed manual and an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

    The feature list on the cars under Rs 5 lakh- 10 lakh competitor will feature a massive 10.25-inches touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the Sonet will also feature a first-in-its-class UVO connected car technology.

On the mechanical front, the Renault Kiger is based on the company’s CMF-A modular platform which also underpins the Renault Triber and the Kwid. Moreover, we can also expect the SUV to be one of the most affordable in the compact SUV segment.

    The Renault Kiger will come equipped with a 1.0-litre petrol engine previously featured in the Triber, pushing the power output to 71hp and 96Nm of torque. However, the Kiger might receive a turbocharged petrol engine offering higher power and torque value.

    The all-new Subcompact SUV from Renault is likely to get the company’s iconic 3 layered grilles with the Renault logo in the middle. Additional features on the outside include projector headlamps with LED DRL’s, faux-skid plate, a sculpted bonnet and strong creases on the outside.
