Volkswagen Polo and Vento Red and White Edition Launched!

The end of the first E-commerce sale marks the start of the festive season and a positive time after a long break. It has been tough for everyone and keeping that in mind, many carmakers are launching festive editions of a range of cars, from hatchbacks to SUVs to Sedans. That said, Volkswagen is among the first to offer special edition cars. Let’s have a look at what they have on offer.

The Red and White Edition

After the title, Volkswagen only offers the new festive edition in the hatch polo and the sedan Vento. Both the cars from the Volkswagen group get a new paint scheme which we’ll talk about further in the article. First, let’s see the additions in the ‘Volksfest’.

  • The roof is of a contrasting colour.
  • ORVMs get a different paint scheme, the same as the roof.
  • Both the cars get a spoiler at the rear.
  • New edition-specific decals sum up the addition in both cars.

Limited Polo and Vento have 3 colour options, depending upon the model- flash red, sunset red, and candy white.

Powertrain and Transmission

Like the conventional Polo and Vento, the new edition cars come with the same enthusiastic 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine.

This gem motor generates 110ps of max power and 175Nm of peak torque. The engine is more than enough to propel the hatch from 0-100 in under 10 seconds and the sedan in just over 10 seconds.

Though conventional cars come with manual and automatic transmissions, the limited edition only gets a torque converter automatic transmission.

Prices and Rivals

The ‘Volksfest’ edition of Vento and Polo is available in the top-end trims Highline-Plus for the Polo and Highline for the sedan. The cars priced at ₹9,19,500 and ₹11,49,000, respectively, are about ₹70,000 cheaper than their traditional variant.

That said, both cars will have less impact on your wallet than the non-limited edition cars, as these are a bit cheaper. Rivals? Well, it is the same old story, and there are no additions to those terms.
