After releasing a few official sketches, Volkswagen has finally introduced the Polo sedan! The Volkswagen Polo sedan is here in India as the Volkswagen Vento. The new sedan revealed will first go on sale in the Russian market. This is a liftback based on the already existing Skoda Rapid in the same market. The Russian spec Skoda Rapid is based on the PQ series platform. The new age Volkswagen models are based on MQB architecture.

The new Volkswagen Polo Sedan is now upgraded in the terms of physical stance and the features too. The new sedan measures 4,483 metres in length and 1,484 metres in height. The wheelbase on the new Volkswagen Polo Sedan is 49mm longer. The overall look of the sedan follows the latest design language as all the models in the VW lineup.
The front profile of the car comes with a wide grille, sharp-looking headlamps and chrome bits. The rear design is minimalistic and simple. This is a unique design though, that makes the model look fresh and new! As already mentioned, the new Polo Sedan the doors, the glasshouse and the roof are shared from the Skoda Rapid.

On the inside, the Polo Sedan gets a multi-layered dashboard and the high-end model will get a fully digital instrument cluster as well! The free-standing infotainment screen adds up to the modern-day look of the car.
The new Volkswagen Polo Sedan will be available in the international market in two engine variants a 90hp or 110hp, 1.6-litre MPI petrol, and a 125hp 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine. the 1.6 litre version is expected to have a 5-speed manual or 6-speed auto gearbox while the turbo variant will have 7-speed DSG as standard.

Talking about India, the Vento and the Polo will soon be available with BS6 compliant engines. Volkswagen showcased many new cars at the auto expo which they will launch soon here in India.
