Volkswagen T-Roc (Hector Rival) Bookings cross 300 mark in India

Volkswagen India seems to be all set to bring in the T-Roc compact SUV in India on March 18th 2020. The T-Roc was first showcased at the recently held Auto Expo 2020. The T-Roc has been introduced to the domestic market under VW’s India’s 2.0 plan which states that the company will be bringing in 3 SUV’s for India.

As stated before the Volkswagen compact SUV was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 and with that said the company has also started taking bookings for the same at the event as well. And now according to recent media reports, the booking number for the T-Roc compact SUV has crossed the 300 mark. As per the company’s strategy, VW will be bringing the T-Roc and the Taigun SUV during the early months of 2021.

  • On the mechanical front, the all-new Volkswagen T-Roc compact will be expected to feature 1.5-litre TSI EVO engine capable of generating 147 bhp with 240 Nm of peak torque.

  • When more power is required the engine can easily be shifted to its 4-cylinder operation and which provides the extra power needed, and with that said the Volkswagen T-Roc can do an impressive 205 kmph, and does 0-100 kmph in a matter of 8.4 seconds which is quite impressive for a compact SUV.
  • The all-new Volkswagen T-Roc will be available in 6 colour options for the domestic market which include Curcuma Yellow, Pure White, Ravenna Blue, Energetic Orange, and Indium Grey and according to company officials, there will also be a wide range of customizations available on the car too.
  • With its launch, the Volkswagen T-Roc will actively rival the likes of the MG Hector, Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass which clearly means it could price between Rs. 18 lakh to Rs 20 lakhs.
