The Volkswagen T-Roc has gone out of stock from the Indian car markets.
The Volkswagen T-Roc is usually brought into the country using the government’s import norms which allow a carmaker to bring in 2,500 units annually. Considering the Coronavirus pandemic around the world, the import of the vehicle has been suspended for now.
Steffen Knapp, Director of Volkswagen India, gave this information, in an interview with carandbike. He stated that the company is looking for CKD (Completely Knocked Down) model for the upcoming cars.
Currently, The T-Roc is built on Volkswagen’s MQB platform. The MQB platform is Volkswagen’s strategy for modular design construction of its transverse, front-engine, front-wheel-drive automobiles.

It is offered in a single variant in India, which is priced at ₹19.9 lakhs. The SUV s powered by a 1.5L TSI EVO petrol engine combined with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The engine of the Volkswagen T-Roc is rather noteworthy. It churns out 147 bhp and a torque of 250 Nm. The torquey engine helps the car sprint from 0 to 100 in 8.4 seconds with a top speed of 205 kmph.
T-Roc is the first car in its segment which offers the Active Cylinder Technology which helps with lower emissions, better performance and more fuel efficiency.
On the outside, the SUV is 4,324mm long, 1,819 mm wide and stands at a height of 1573 mm. The overall dimensions give the car a dominating stance.

The Volkswagen T-Roc is one feature-loaded SUV. The car comes with all the essential as well as premium features that one would expect in an SUV. Some of these are LED headlamps, 17-inch alloys, a 10.25-inch Active Info Display, paddle shifters, 8-inch Composition infotainment system, 6 airbags, LED DRLs, black ORVMs and roof, front and rear parking sensors, rear fog lamp, electronic stability control and lots more.
The car is offered in six different colours in India. These colours are Indium Grey, Curcuma Yellow, Ravenna Blue, Pure White and Energetic Orange.
The Coronavirus pandemic is not seeming to end anytime soon because of which the import curbs might be here for long.
