Hyundai Elite i20 is one of the most popular hatchbacks in India. It is all set to get an upgrade which will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. But before the unveiling, some images of the hatch have surfaced online. Let’s have a look.
You may have seen a test mule somewhere as Hyundai has been testing it from past few months on the Indian roads. Although the Indian version of the car will vary from that of the international version which will be showcased at the motor show, the design is expected to remain the same.
The leaked images show that the design has been completely revamped and the new elite i20 looks more aggressive than ever now. Hyundai has been actively working towards making their car designs sportier which can be seen in the new Grand i10 Nios.
At the front, 2020 i20 elite gets blacked-out cascading grille, sharp-looking headlamps with LED DRLs surrounding the housing. The bumper has also been redesigned to look more aggressive. This will surely bring in young buyers.
At the rear, the black strip which looks similar to the Tata Altroz can be seen. The tail-lamps are brand new with Z-shaped elements. There is a prominent diffuser visible at the rear of the 2020 Hyundai Elite i20.
The next-gen Elite i20 will be powered by BS6-compliant 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, 1.5-litre diesel engine from the Kia Seltos and 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged engine. It will be rivalling against Tata Altroz, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Honda Jazz.
