2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift Spied Testing!

Hyundai is definitely upto something. The recent news from the Korean automaker is that they are testing the new Venue! All of us know that the Hyundai Creta was launched at the Auto Expo 2020 and now it is also about to receive a mid-life facelift. From the past trends, we can see that a car takes at least 3 to 4 years to get a facelift but Hyundai seems to have different plans! The Hyundai Venue, which was launched in India in May 2019, is also getting a facelift around mid-2022.

The main thing to notice here is that the Hyundai Venue was launched way before the Creta in the Indian market, still, both of them are about to get a facelift together! Talking about what’s visible from the spyshots, we can see that Venue gets a new grille that will make it go with the new design language that Hyundai is setting with their upcoming cars. The Tucson, the Creta and the already existing Santa Cruz are all set to have Venue in their tribe too.

Apart from the grill, it gets a new set of alloys and a new set of front and rear bumpers as well. The taillights are also different from what we get in the current avatar. Not only the shape, but the LED patterns are also different from the current model. We can also expect major changes inside the cabin where an updated infotainment system and a reworked instrument cluster will be the major updates inside.

Talking about the power specs, the Hyundai Venue facelift is expected to have the same 3 engine options that currently exist with the Venue. The 1.2-litre NA, the 1.4-litre diesel and the 1.0-litre turbo petrol in the top-end variant. The gearboxes will also continue to be the same. You will get a 5-speed manual, iMT and DCT gearbox.

Hyundai has always been a feature-rich carmaker. With features like ADAS becoming more common in the affordable segment, do you think Hyundai will bring in the same to either Creta or the Venue? Do let us know in the comments section below!
