Maruti Suzuki has launched the new 2022 Maruti Eeco which now comes in 13 variants, prices start at ₹5.10L. The Maruti Eeco is a very popular MPV in India consistently standing strong as the highest-selling car month after month. The Maruti Eeco finds its space in the commercial sector as a taxi cab, ambulance, tour, cargo van etc. The Eeco in India traced its roots to the Maruti Versa which incidentally did not gain prominence at that time. However, the Versa in its Eeco avatar gained popularity as a do-it-all multipurpose vehicle.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Eeco | What’s New?
Starting with the newest addition, the new Eeco now gets the frugal 1.2L K-Series Petrol Engine with a CNG option. The K-Series (K12N) Dualjet is also seen on flagship cars such as the Swift. Capable of delivering 66kW (88HP) @ 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 113 Nm @ 4000 rpm and is the most powerful engine fitted to the Eeco. The older engine was a G12B Petrol. Maruti claims that the 2022 Eeco is now 25% more frugal with an additional 10% boost in performance.
The 2022 Maruti Eeco delivers up to 20.20 kmpl which has gone up by 29% to 27.05 km/kg.
On the inside, the Eeco now comes with a new steering wheel along with a new digital instrument cluster. And finally, you will get to see reclining front seats. Another welcoming new feature on the Eeco is Dual Front Airbags, Engine Immobilizer and 11+ safety features
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Eeco is available in a total of 13 variants, including 5-seaters, 7-seaters, Cargo, Tour and Ambulance. A new colour has also been introduced called Metallic Brisk Blue.
