2023 Honda CR-V Debut! Coming to India?

The latest generation Honda CR-V is expected to mark its global debut in 2023 and as per global unveil it has been revealed that the hybrid electric version is on the cards. This will be the sixth generation model having turbo-petrol and hybrid options.

Honda CR-V 6th Gen Revealed!

The All new sixth generation Honda CR-V is unveiled globally with new exterior and classy interior with revamped cabin, better technology and hybrid powertrain mills.

 

2023 Honda CR-V Design & Dimensions

The new generation Honda CR-V is fully loaded when compared with the outgoing model. It looks more sportier with a larger grille and muscular front-end looks bolder due to the redesigned bumper, all-LED projector headlights and raised bonnet lines. From the rear, the new gen CR-V has sleek taillights inspired from the previous generation CR-V.

The dimensions are as follows –

  • Length – 4,694mm
  • Breadth – 1864mm
  • Height – 1,692mm
  • Wheelbase – 2700mm

Talking about changes made from the previous iteration, the globally launched CR-V is 69 mm longer and have 10 mm larger wheelbase.

Interior & Features

The design elements matches with new 11th generation Honda Civic sedan with all-black or dual-tone cabin finish (based on variants). It also comes packed with features such as a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wide-angle camera, Wireless Charging, Traffic jam assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, blind spot information and with 10 Airbags.

2023 Honda CR-V Powertrain Options (+ Variants)

The 2023 Honda CR-V is expected to offer with 1.5 liter turbocharged petrol engine option generating peak power of 190 hp & 243 Nm of torque or a bigger 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain having 204 BHP and 335 Nm of torque. It will be offered in four variants: EX, EX-L, Sort & Sport Touring. Both engine options will have AWD and it is expected that few markets will also have diesel option as well subsequently.

India Launch On The Cards?

The fifth generation Honda CR-V got discontinued from the market since December 2020. Since then there is no update on the India Launch date so far from Honda. Once it gets launched in India, it will be in tough competition with the upcoming Hyundai Tucson and Volkswagen Tiguan.
