New Year is a time we all look forward to. And this is true even more OEMs. So here are 6 upcoming cars that are waiting to launch in 2023.

1. Tata Harrier Facelift and Safari Facelift
   

   

   As we told you before, the Harrier and Safari Facelift is also ready to hit the Indian market in 2023, bringing in the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that will make approx. 150 BHP with 6 manual speeds and 6-speed DCA. Features on the upcoming cars might include ADAS, 360-degree camera, new touch infotainment, likely electronic steering, and much more.

2. Mahindra Thar 5 Door
   

   

   Competing with the 5-door Gurkha and Jimny, the 5-Door Thar will also enter the Indian market in 2023. India’s most loved off-road 4×4 SUV will likely offer a 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine onboard, with better features, safety, and tech.

3. MG Hector Facelift
   

   

   Likely to arrive in the star of 2023, the Hector facelift will be a new addition to the Hector family. This will be the most expensive of all the Hectors and will offer Level 2 ADAS, 14-inch touch infotainment and a host of top-notch features. The price, however, with this upcoming car is likely to jump to around 25 to 30 Lakhs. The engine, however, is likely the same as the Hector Plus.

4. Maruti 7 seater
   

   

   Maruti’s Innova Hycross competitor is also likely to arrive in 2023. Since the vehicle will be a direct competitor to Innova, it is expected that Maruti will offer an engine and features that will be similar, if not better, than what Innova offers.

5. Kia Electric Compact SUV
   

   

   Dubbed the Niro, the new electric compact SUV from Kia will be Kona’s sister from the house of KIA. Thus the Niro will share the engine, hybrid tech and dimension with the Kona. This upcoming car can be priced between Rs. 24 to 28 Lakhs.

6. Hyundai Ioniq 5
   

   

   The sister of the Kia EV6, the Ioniq 5, shares its dimension with EV 6 but will be a localized product as compared to the EV6, which is a CBU. This will give the Ioniq a price advantage and will be a great offering near the 50 lakh mark.
