BS6 Maruti Suzuki Eeco S-CNG Launched | Price and Specifications

Under its ‘Mission Green Million’ initiative, Maruti Suzuki has launched the BS6 compliant Eeco. The best-selling multi-purpose van has been in the top charts in terms of sales for a very long time. The company has launched the S-CNG version of the Maruti Suzuki Eeco which will comply with BS6 emission norms. It has been launched with a starting price of ₹4.64lakhs.

The Eeco S-CNG will be offered in a total of 12 variants. For the seating capacity, it will have a 5-seat and 7-seat option. There are Cargo and Ambulance options too with the Maruti Suzuki Eeco S-CNG. In terms of design aesthetics, there is no major change in the upgraded multi-purpose van.

While on petrol, Eeco BS6 has a mileage of 16.11kmpl and for the CNG it is 21.94km per kg.

Talking about safety, Maruti Suzuki Eeco is the safest van in the segment as it comes loaded with features such as driver airbag, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, driver and co-driver seatbelt reminder and alert alarm for high-speed. Maruti seems to have certainly worked towards safety a bit with this offering.

The Executive Director(Marketing and Sales) of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Shashank Srivastava, said, “Eeco has established a strong foothold with its excellent mileage, best-in-segment comfort, space and power, at a low maintenance cost. Offering best in class safety, it’s all-purpose built is ideal for versatile use. The multi-purpose van has earned the distinction of being ideal for family travel, while simultaneously being a dependable business vehicle. Taking forward its legacy, Eeco BS6 S-CNG is designed to deliver optimum performance, safety, engine durability, convenience and mileage.”

Will the upgraded Eeco BS6 S-CNG be able to carry on the 87% share in terms of sales in the van segment? It seems very likely.
