[SPIED] Mahindra TUV300 Plus Facelift

Mahindra TUV300 Plus is the 9-seater version of the already existing SUV from Mahindra. The version was launched in India back in 2018 and for sure this one was a BS4 compliant engine. All of us know that the BS6 norms are already live and many automakers have already shifted the manufacturing facilities and the dealerships towards the BS6 stock sale only. Mahindra has also got many BS6 vehicles in the lineup but the TUV300 Plus is still not here. A test mule was spotted which showed us some crisp details about the SUV.

The new Mahindra TUV300 Plus gets a cosmetic upgrade. We didn’t see much change on the outside. Obviously, Mahindra has opted for this update to make the engine BS6 compliant. Therefore, we didn’t expect many changes on the outside. We have seen till now that the TUV300 Plus is aimed at semi-urban buyers. The car has not done really well in the major cities. The SUV obtains all the styling elements from the TUV300.

Speaking about the facelift, we see that the new Mahindra TUV300 Plus gets a font grille inspired from the Mahindra Alturas G4. As always, the test mule lacked the headlamps so we are currently unable to comment on the type of headlamps that this SUV will get. We see that the headlamp assembly is sleeker on the facelift if we compare it to the earlier version of the SUV. The tail lamp assemble has not shown any change so the rear profile of the vehicle will almost be the same.

Coming to the main highlight of the Mahindra TUV300 Plus facelift, the engine. Mahindra plans to upgrade the same BS4 compliant 2.2-litre mHawk engine that currently powers the SUV. In its current form, the engine produces 120 PS of maximum power at 4,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque at 1,800-2,800 rpm. The transmission will most likely be a 6-speed manual one. Mahindra must have added some modern-day features on the inside. We still have no official information about that.
