Nissan X-Trail Revealed–Launch Expected Soon

We have seen two teasers for the Japanese SUV. Nissan India finally, revealed the X-Trail for India ahead of its launch in the coming days. Nissan has been showcasing their intentions to launch new vehicles several times. This revelation is very promising and opens up new opportunities for the Mid-size SUV segment. The Japanese car manufacturer has also been struggling to put up decent sales numbers here. With this launch, Nissan can regain the trust and popularity needed for their future plans for the Indian Car market.

The SUV will be brought in as a CBU.

Expected Price

The X-Trail is anticipated to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 45 lakh, as it will be imported as a CBU.

Platform

The 2024 Nissan X-Trail will be based on the CMF-C/D platform, also used by Nissan Qashqai, Mitsubishi Outlander, and Renault Megane. Nissan has jointly developed this platform with Renault.

Design and Features

The X-Trail has a tall stance with a conventional SUV body design language. It has an in-your-face front fascia with a split-headlamp setup and a signature ‘V-Motion’ grille finished in dark chrome. The silver front skid plates give it a rugged look. The elevated bonnet edge and rounded wheel arches give it a very muscular appearance. It has 20-inch multispoked diamond-cut alloy wheels and wraparound LED tail lamps.

It is smaller in comparison to the Fortuner and MG’s Gloster. However, its Muscular face, tall stance, and 210mm of ground clearance will easily set it apart.

We think this would be better for Indian Automobile market to have different car options available. Competitions allow for improvement in the existing car market. The introduction of the 2024 Nissan X-trail will open some doors for Japanese car manufacturer in India. Hyundai’s SantaFe has also gone through a major generation upgrade in international market. Let us see what direction Hyundai takes along with other automakers towards SUV segment going forward.
